Hey Guys welcome to this weeks Passion For Fashion... New York Fashion Week Special.
As always during fashion week there are some to die-for-styles and i-wanna-die styles. Some celebs looked great and others.... not so much.
My favorite outfit of the week has to be from Natasha Bedingfield. I think some stars go way too far with their outfits during fashion week to try and stand out, but the point of the shows is fashion... i.e you need to look good!
Natasha has pulled a casual look and completely glammed it up! The first thing I love about this look are the Custard Yellow Stilettos... I want, I want... I want! Natasha manages to look edgy without looking crazy.
Continuing from the heels up, the 'Un-written' singer wears sexy, tight leather skinnies and wears a light, over sized top, the grey number could nearly pass as a dress and the black see-through sleeves give the look a really grungy style.
She has just the right amount of jewellery and the whole style is effortless.
Really love this one!
2. Sarah Jessica Parker
Another favorite outfit of mine is from Sex And The City star, Sarah Jessica Parker.
She dabbled in a few different styles throughout the week but this outfit is by far my favorite. The terracotta orange colour is beautiful on SJP, the bright purple and pink clutch mixed with her pearly pink/white beads create an illuminating colour.
Sometimes she goes too far with her style, trying to become an icon, but look is relaxed and natural. Looking effortless is the key to this season's trends!
She did also have one or two bad outfits this week.
This outfit in particular really rubbed me up the wrong way!
She looks like a mix in between Little House On The Prairie to a old Grecian woman. It just doesn't work! The dress itself looks cheap and it's badly shaped and the metallic gladiator shoes are a terrible mix with the outfit, the metallic bag is desperately trying to match here but it's not working!
The whole thing is a disaster, including her hair.
Stick to the bright colours and the sleek style SJP!
3.Kristin Cavallari
I've said this numerous times on my 'hate it' lists recently, but what has happened to Kristin Cavallari?? The Hills star used to be sexy, stylish, boho and saucy but her looks have been nothing but dry and dull recently!
Maybe it's because she's a taken woman now, dating American footballer Jay Cutler, but alot of things has changed with this girl! Her hair is darker, her dresses are longer, and her style is just gone!
This dress is alot better than some of the other things she's been wearing though! The zebra print is actually quite cute, and hugs her teeny, tiny body. It's very tight at the waist and short enough to show off her California legs
I love the shoe boots, they are really hot this season, but it just feels like there's something missing!
The outfits definitely got worse throughout New York fashion week. I am in total shock that Kristin actually worse this look to a public event... a fashionable event!
First of all, let's get real for a second hair, Kristin, your hair is horrible, die it back bright - blond, you're a flirtatious Cali girl and blonds have more fun! Second of all, there is no sexuality to any of her looks! Something you learn as a girl is never wear a black bra with a white vest and that's exactly what she did (fail) and I can't even put in to words what's wrong with her skirt... but there is am lot!
Thankfully she wore her cute shoe boots again, which slightly saved the outfit....slightly!
Kristen's last look has to be her worst. It seem like for a second she was trying to slip in to her old style but this is just a big mess.
The latex material looks very unflattering, and the big biker belt is a bit too much. The dress definitely wasn't made to fit her as it looks like parts had to be pulled in to hand on to her little waste.
The grey heels I also don't like.
How many more times can I say it, FIRE your stylist Kristen!
4. Kelly Osbourne
One of the celebs that stood out to me during New York fashion week was presenter Kelly Osbourne. It's not long ago that she despised the word 'fashion' and now she's looking hotter than ever!
The floral design of this dress is a great transition from summer trends into the newest Autumn styles. It reminds very much of an over sized maxi in a fitted format.
Her purple swede shoes add the brightness to the outfit that is essential for this seasons trend!
The newly single Miss Osbourne looks even cuter here with her Jewel studded boddess!
Looking very Katy Perry, Kelly looked very girlie in this number and her hair is fab. She's sitting next to Kanye West in this pic, he's wearing this season's bright red but her look shines through!
I love when Celebs actually get it right!
5. Olivia Palmero
Another celeb that made me cringe this week was The City star Olivia Palmero.
I've always hated her style to be honest, it reminds me of Mischa Barton's old look, grannyish and over the top. Although some of the style is nice the shape and size of her outfits are unflattering. I like the black bow on her white dress here, the whole outfit is very 'porselin doll'.
I hate to admit it but I like this outfit, she throws in a bit of boho style with the gold jewellery and the fabric is very child like. My one major problem with this outfit is the sleeve design... a bit too flowery.
Once again Olivia goes for the flowers on the shoulders but the style of this dress is horrible.
I love the rouge red lipstick colour but the grey tights and laced boots are not nice at all. The design of this dress is very Lady Gaga. The City star tends to go for over the top catwalk looks quite a lot, but she can't pull it off at all.
She keeps with the gold jewellery in this one though, which I like, stick to that style Olivia!
6. Gwen Stefani
A lady that certainly kicked ass at New York fashion week was Gwen Stefani.
The rocker was showing off her next season's fashion line called L.A.M.B and she's looking hotter than ever! With her trademark red lippy and white blond hair the singer displays a 'joker' like style and I love it!
This yummy mummy always manages to look sexy with her quirky outfits. Loving the autumn custard yellow and maroon, watch out for these colours ladies!
Her whole look just summaries the Autumn collections.
