Gavin: This Is My Nightmare! |
Rugby star Gavin Henson has said that his split from singer Charlotte Church was a "nightmare" for him.
Henson has admitted that trying to come to terms with the break up has been hard and he's trying to get through it by focusing all his attention on their two children Ruby and Dexter.
He told the Sunday Mirror
"It's been a nightmare and it's still very raw. But I suppose these things happen and you have to deal with it. I realise that things happen for a reason, but I don't really make long-term plans now."
Well Gavin didn't look to heartbroken when he was out partying with his mates in Spain, the day the split was announced, while presenter Charlotte was left to mind the children.
He also said that he's taking "each day at a time" and says if he could turn back time he wouldn't change a thing:
"I don't regret a second of my relationship. Charlotte and I had some great times together but it came to an end. I'm coping okay. I'm trying to be strong about it and we're both trying to be mature about it. All I can do is try to be the best father I can be to my children."
While 'Somewhere of the rainbow' judge Charlotte has been linked to musician Jonathan Powells, Gavin has said to be not looking for a realtionship. He has been a stay-at-home dad for the last year and says that he's loved his Daddy duties, and it will be hard going back to playing Rugby:
"It's been a big wrench going from being with the kids 24/7 to living on my own. When you go from one extreme to another, chasing round after two kids, loads of noise and toys about, to being just you, that's hard. I'm at my happiest when I'm with my kids or on the rugby field."
The exact reason for the couple's split isn't known, but sources have said it was Charlotte's weight loss and career gain that cause turbulence.
