Uh ok someone's angry!
I reported yesterday that Halle Berry had dropped out of the new flick New Years Eve so she could begin a custody battle with her ex-boyfriend of 5 years Gabriel Aubry.
Halle's rep said that the actress was "deepy concerned" about her 2-year-old daughter Nahla when she was in the care of Gabriel. It all seemed to come out of nowhere since Halle had said after thier split that:
"We're still friends, we love each other very much, and we both share the love of our lives. And while it was not a love connection for us, he was absolutely the right person to have this child with because she is going to have an amazing father."Now sources close to Gabriel are saying that Halle still can't handle that the French model is dating (most recently Kim Kardashian) even though Halle, herself, is dating Kylie Minogue's ex Oliver Martinez.
Now Gabriel's rep is all fired up and he's said Halle's claims are rubbish:
"While Gabriel is disappointed in Halle's decision to falsely malign him publicly and for her own purposes, he refuses to be pulled into her dispute over a canceled film production, Gabriel also refuses to air their issues in the press as he believes this may ultimately harm their daughter, The fact is that Gabriel is a caring father who shares custody of Nahla. Gabriel fully believes that a consistent and balanced living situation and two loving parents are crucial for their child even if Ms. Berry feels otherwise. He will always defend his rights as a father and will always consider Nahla's best interest. Halle's continuing allegations in the press are untrue and irresponsible."
This is getting seriously messy! I feel so sorry for Nahla, what a horrible environment to grow up in. But I have to say, always trust a mothers instinct...
