Kym Marsh has revealed that her pregnancy has been difficult as she's constantly in fear that she will loose her baby girl.
The Coronation Street actress and her fiancé Jamie Lomas lost their son Archie back in 2009 after he was born premature at 21 weeks. Kym is now at 26 weeks in her pregnancy, but she admitted she was scared at the beginning:
"It's been really difficult. I have been diagnosed with an incompetent cervix, which is when your cervix is too weak to stay closed during pregnancy due to the extra weight of the baby. It can cause premature birth or late miscarriage. This time around I was a high-risk patient and I've been monitored closely."
To prevent another loss, the 34-year-old, who had been stitched at 17 weeks to prevent her cervix from opening. Kym was then forced to take early maternity leave from Coronation Street. But Kymbelieves everything will be ok with the birth:
"She's been a right little wriggler since 17 weeks. And she's a Marsh-Lomas. I know she's a little fighter and I know she'll be causing us havoc before long!"This will be her third child, but first with fiance Jamie, she had two children from her first marriage.
