Well this is a surprise!
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has a new flick out called 'The Roomate'. The thriller/horror flick is about a girl that becomes obsessed with her roomate, sounds not too interesting right? Well American's seem to think it's seriously interesting as it's topped the Box Office the same weekend James Cameron's new movie Sanctum has been released!
The $16 million 'The Roommate' scooped up a relatively impressive $15.6 million, but the Cameron-produced 3-D flick, Sanctum, came away with just $9.2 million!! What a huge difference in sales. The flick only has a 5.5 rating on IMDB though, so I'm guessing it's not that thrilling at all. But Leighton's Gossip Girl followers are clearly fans of her movie work.
