Vanity Fair's 'Hollywood' Cover Gets People Annoyed

Do you think there's something missing from this photo? Well some people do!

There's been a lot of controversy surrounding this years Oscar awards as websites such as Jezebel saying it is the "whitest Oscars in 10 years". Perezhilton.com also commented on the nominees stating that it was "sad" people of colour were left out.

Now Vanity Fair magazine has released their 17th annual 'Hollywood edition' and low and behold, there's not too many black people. Actor Anthony Mackie (in between Jennifer Lawrence and Olivia Wilde) is the only coloured actor on the cover, but is on the folded side, meaning he doesn't grace the cover.

On the cover of the magazine are Oscar presenters Anne Hathaway and James Franco, with two of the hottest men in Hollywood, Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal right beside them. When you open the cover celebs such as Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Robert Duvall, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund and Noomi Rapace are all looking extremely sexy!

So are Vanity Fair magazine being racist? Well a rep of the mag explained the cover:
"Vanity Fair went back to the basics -- no teenagers, no penguins, no (full-on) nudity, just the most exciting actors and actresses of the moment."
So there you have it "the most exciting actors and actresses of the moment" not the "whitest". I think this is a load of bull, surely we've gone past that time where top Hollywood actors were all white? The people that are picking up on this are the ones that are truly racist.

Move on people! What do you think?
