A Second Person's Face Catches Fire During Surgery

Another person's face has caught fire during surgery, the second in less than a week. Tommy Beams was undergoing an operation at Grays Hospital in Seattle Washington, when his face was accidentally set on fire by the surgical team. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center with second degree burns. Beams recounted his traumatic experience on television, speaking of looking at himself in the mirror for the first time with extensive burns and becoming distressed. He also stated, "The physical pain is tremendous."

It is widely accepted the presence of a cauterizing tool (heat/flame), isopropyl alcohol on the patient's skin sterilization and oxygen, via the mask or tube, is responsible for the fire. Is the isopropyl alcohol not dried into the skin properly before surgery. Are oxygen tubes less likely to cause fires in said environment than oxygen masks, which create a vacuum over the nose and mouth (or vice versa). Statistics indicate 600 fires occur during surgery each year, but detailed data has not been released for full comparison and hypothesis (some of the information may violate patient privacy).

You just can't make stuff like this up. A transgender man in Florida, Oneal Ron Morris, who was posing as a medical doctor, has been arrested by the police for illegally administering butt injections that landed one woman in the hospital with serious injuries.

Instead of using silicone in a clinical setting, Morris used...wait for it...cement, superglue and tire sealant to enlarge his patients posteriors to cartoon like proportions. People are taking this J-Lo/Nikki Minaj/Kim Kardashian/Baby-Got-Back thing way too far. It's time to prioritize. It should not be vote or die big butt or die (in this case literally).

People, don't risk your life over a trend that will pass. You must remember, trends are always changing. You are beautiful just the way you are, which is how God made you. All this other stuff is unnecessary and unhealthy.

Every woman and most husbands want to have beautiful breasts. Women sometimes go to great lengths to get them, enlisting the aid of a plastic surgeon. However, sometimes this quest for buoyancy goes wrong. Very wrong. Like in the case of pretty, Dinora Rodriguez.

Rodriguez had her breast implant surgery performed by an individual, who is not a board certified plastic surgeon. After the surgery, her breasts look like a grapefruit at the supermarket (notice I wrote "a grapefruit" and not "two grapefruits" because the surgeon fused them together, giving her what is being called a "Uniboob"). What kind of sci-fi mess is that. How are you just going to glue the woman's breasts together.

Rodriguez has since had the damage corrected by a board certified plastic surgeon, but the doctor that gave her the bad breast job, also did work on her eyes without permission, permanently damaging her vision and leaving her with visible scars. The doctor really should lose their licenses for such malpractice and negligence.
