Happy 1st Birthday Miss Red!

I can't believe Miss Red blog is 1 year old this week!

After starting this blog on a whim this time last year, naming the site Maggie Red Blog, I really wanted to create a entertainment website that every Irish girl and guy would use as their gossip central.

With a love of music, movies and celebrity gossip I decided to dedicate all of my time to writing reviews, conducting interviews and providing Ireland with all the news from the bright lights of Hollywood to the beautiful streets of Dublin.

From 100 views per day, Miss Red has jumped to over 3,000 views a day, and it's all thanks to my wonderful readers. So, instead of giving myself a birthday present, Miss Red would like to give all my followers a present, EVERY DAY this week.

My first prize was given away moments ago!

Aoife Hannon Sizzles On New Photo-shoot

Wowza, I wouldn't even recognize her!

Yes our newest Miss Universe Ireland Aoife Hannon has finally come out of her shell and oh my is she looking hot!

The Kerry native who won the amazing title after representing Spin Southwest, let her hair down for a brand new photo shoot with Ireland's top fashion photographer Lili Forberg.

Wearing mostly dresses from The Ivory Closet, the 19-year-old looked fierce as she posed with volumized brown highlighted hair with a very natural make up look.

Following in the footsteps of the amazing Roz Purcell, Aoife looks set to beat dozens of girls at this years Miss Universe competition in Brazil. The stunning brunette has absolutely no modelling experience, but as you can see from these pics, she will have no trouble getting the judges attention.

Aoife is definitely starting to show off her sexier side, soon enough she will be flaunting her body in a teeny tiny bikini on the catwalks of Brazil, and once again she will definitely have no trouble achieving a high score on that round!

No matter what happens in Brazil Aoife is still taking a year out from the University of Limerick to bring her new title to it's full potential. Former Miss Universe Ireland Roz Purcell didn't win the overall contest, but after getting to the highest spot any Irish women has got in years, she has landed a modelling contract with Donald Trump, a lucrative contract with Gosh cosmetics, and she has travelled all over the world, from Paris to South Africa, as well as living in New York.

So if Aoife keeps her head in the game she could establish an amazing modelling career for herself. Even though the sports enthusiast will have to leave her boyfriend behind to travel the world, it's clear from these pictures alone that she is well capable of becoming the newest Irish top model.

With a portfolio like this and looks like that Miss Red is 100% sure that Aoife will go far, and we are all behind you!

Geneva Lane Calls Zayn Malik A "Heartbreaker"

It looks like someone's trying to get some attention!

Former X Factor star Geneva Lane has said that One Direction member and former fling, Zayn Malik is a "heartbreaker".

The singer, who ditched band Belle Amie back in January to try and start a solo career, had a brief fling with Zayn during the last season of the X Factor. After dumping the brunette over the phone and starting to date last year's runner up Rebecca Ferguson, it seems Geneva ain't too happy!

Since getting together both Rebecca and Zayn have admitted they are completely "in love" and now Geneva says Zayn is a player and will break her heart:

"Zayn's a heartbreaker. When I found out he was seeing Rebecca I felt numb. He told me he loved me and promised me the world."

The singer, who seems quite sour about the new couple, added that she thinks Zayn and Rebecca won't last, claiming that their 6 year age gap is too big:

"They are complete opposites. She's so grown up and has kids, whereas Zayn still plays at being a Power Ranger with the other One Direction boys. But I know from experience how hard it is to say no to Zayn. He's very persuasive."

Geneva also told News of The World editor Dan Wooton that Zayn could never act as a father to her children:

"He's too immature for her - she's a mum and I don't think he's capable of playing dad to her kids."

Someone is seriously green with envy!! And so she should be, not only has Zayn moved on and seems to be happy, but her former Girl Band Belle Amie have already went on tour and just released their first music video, check it out here:

Katy Perry Is Going Blonde!!

Ok so I can finally put my mind at ease to why Katy Perry has been showing off a horrible ginger/copper hair colour the last few days.

Everyone was shocked to see the 'California Girls' singer debut a shorter hair style with copper, red and blonde highlights last week. I for one was so confused to why the normally jet-black haired songstress would ruin her hair like this.

Katy's hair is getting blonder by the day, but is still ginger at the ends!

But now it's clear that Mrs. Russell Brand is in the process of dying her hair beach babe blonde! She posted on Twitter last week that she wanted to dye her hair a brand new colour but later Tweeted that a drastic hair change could not be done and she would have to wait:

"Tonight I dye my hair a different color. Can you guess which color?"

"So I didn't get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long! To get to goal I have to be a ginger for three weeks! If I don't wait three weeks, I'll end up with no hair or a pixie '90s cut with a barette in the front. It's okay, I'll get to my secret color(s) soon!" 

It's clear that Katy's "secret colour" is blonde! If she wanted to be a red-head she could have done that easily, but this ginger copper look is disgusting!!!

Ashley Cole Sneaked Into Cheryl Cole's Birthday Party!

So the rumours must be true!

After weeks and weeks of sources claiming that Cheryl Cole has decided to give her ex-cheating-hubby Ashley Cole another chance,  Miss Red can reveal that the Chelsea footballer was spotted at her 28th Birthday Bash.

Ashley, who had been in LA for the last few weeks, came straight from Heathrow airport to Cheryl's exclusive birthday party. His chauffeur-driven car sneaked into the Sanderson Hotel unnoticed via the underground car park. And when he left the party in the early hours of Saturday morning he hid his face in the back seat.

Guests who attended the party have said that the former lovers were having fun together drinking Vodka, and that they danced together by the DJ booth. Ashley’s mother Sue and brother Matthew told the News Of The World: "They are very happy together."

And get this, apparently Cheryl's mum Joan, who has always spoken out against Ashley, approached Ashley at the party and led him by hand to her daughter. "That was Joan’s way of giving her seal of approval" an insider said.
The Girls Aloud singer spent an estimated £25,000 to effectively rent out half of the elite Sanderson Hotel for two days to pamper herself and close friends and family.

She was in the £1,000-a-night penthouse for three nights, and booked a luxurious bungalow suite below her for her mother, along with 20 more rooms for other party guests.

So will Cheryl and Ashley be reuniting for good? A source said no one knows what will happen:

"Who knows what is going to happen in the future with them? Ashley is a predator, he likes a challenge, and Cheryl is so tired and emotional that she may just give in."

Cheryl Cole Shows Off New Hair Do At 28th Birthday Party!

Cheryl Cole is officially back in the spotlight!

After hiding away from the world for the last five weeks, Cheryl Cole has finally shown her face again and she is looking stunning!

The singer sent media into a frenzy this week when she was snapped with a blonde bob, and now she's been showing it off in style! Known now as a 'Chob' the former Girls Aloud bandmate looked really happy last night celebrating her 28th birthday.

Showing off her new honey blonde asymmetrical choppy bob properly for the first time, the Geordie looked back to her old self as she arrived at the Sanderson Hotel in London's Fitzrovia.

The former X Factor judge looked stunning in a white Stella McCartney Autumn/Winter 2011 chiffon dress with circular embellishments, which she teamed with a pair of champagne high-heeled sandals. Those circular embellishments will be everywhere now!

Among the top celeb guests were her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh. Noticeable absent was her former close friend Simon Cowell, the music mogul's absence was felt by many and has restarted the rumours that the two are no longer speaking.

Her manager Will.i.am, headed to the party after performing with The Black Eyed Peas at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park.

A friend of Cheryl's said of her new hair that she was ready for a new change: "It’s a new year, a new look – she wanted a change and she wanted to feel free."

Kate Moss Gets Married In John Galliano Dress!

She really is the queen of controversy isn't she?

Supermodel Kate Moss has married her boyfriend Jamie Hince after dating on and off for four years. The couple, who got engaged in February, tied the knot in Southrop, England yesterday.

Kate suprisingly wore a wedding dress designed by former head of Christian Dior, John Galliano. He hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons earlier this year when he launched a verbal attack on jews while in a cafe in Paris.

After losing his job, John is currently in court fighting the claims, so why did Kate choose a designer that would over-shadow her actuall wedding?

Well apparently it didn't bother her in the slightest. Sources told US Weekly that the wedding had a great vibe:

"It was a wham bam rock n' roll marriage. She came out of the church with the bridesmaids and just snogged his face off - a couple of huge kisses, then the doors to the Rolls Royce opened and rock music blared out for everyone. It was a 'Wow, Kate Moss is married' moment."
