Seriously Social - The Ivory Closet's Bangel Party!

 So last weekend I got the pleasure of attending The Ivory Closet's first ever 'Bangle Party'. I knew I was in for a night of style and glamour, but what I got was even better!


On arriving to the party I was greeted with a glass of bubbly and a cute goodie bag, which included; a 5 euro voucher off my next purchase, some nice sweeties, and some girlie beauty products too. On entering the shop, it has a feel of a Hollywood boutique. In one corner bangles and earrings dazzle, in another ball gowns fit for a princess hang gracefully, it's like the bedroom fit for royalty!

So here's a bit of background: The Ivory Closet opened just over two months ago by three Limerick fashionistas; sisters Niamh, Sheila and Aine Cahill. Shelia told me that they spotted a gap in the market when they noticed their friends and family were spending tonnes of money on outfits for weddings, events etc which were only worn once! We're all guilty of breaking the bank to buy a gorge dress that hangs in the closet for months after (all lonely) so the girls came up with a great idea!

Instead of buying expensive outfits, how about renting them? The idea was genius and their stock is flying out the door! Designer dresses retailing at 1,000 euro can be rented for three nights for 90.00 euro, bargain or what?? Some of the amazing designers include Rachel Gilbert, Catherine Malandrino, Diane Von Fustenburg, Dolce and Gabanna, Temperly London, Matthew Willamson and Herve Leger - to name just a few.


On top of all that huge selections of their dresses have been seen on celebrities such as Cheryl Cole, The City star Olivia Palmero, Lauren Conrad, the Kardasian sisters and many more! So you can get the startastic look too!

As well as catering for dress sizes from 8 to 16, they also cater for all budgets with dress rentals starting as little as 20 euro to 200 euro for an amazing celebrity inspired ball gown!! Prices are based on a 3 day rental however they cater for weddings abroad in which a week long rental will be an option!! They also offer temporary alterations! So if the dress is a teeny bit too tight, or slightly too big, they can fix that for you!
Now, the reason I was there on the VIP list, was to check out their seriously gorgeous crystal embellished bangles! They've been seen on celebs such as Pixie Lott, and Alisha Dixon! And can change an outfit from dreary to dazzling! And to help you complete your look you can purchase the UK’s number 1 selling tan Xen-Tan.

So yeah, there is a lot I can say about the place. The decor matches the standard of their products, you just feel like a little girl in a designers closet being there! The whole experience of shopping their is an indulgence, a guilty pleasure we all want to explore!


If you haven't visited the shop, you are seriously missing out. Whether if it's for a wedding, a ball, a special event or even just a big night out, there are dresses to fit every shape and size, every length, and most importantly.... every style!
