Cheryl Cole Splashes Out On Derek Hough

It looks like Cheryl Cole isn't afraid to start splashing out on her rumoured boyfriend, now that she has the most wanted showbiz job in the world.

The singer has apparently bought Derek Hough a hugely expensive snowboard for his birthday. Apparently to help her beau celebrate turning 26, the Geordie bought him a posh snowboard while he is away in Toronto filming Cobu 3D, his first ever movie (and last by the sounds of it).

As well as the snowboard the 'Promise This' singer sent Derek a basket of gifts including a card which read "Happy Birthday, love from your Dimples x".

There were also some CD's, DVD's and a framed picture of the two taken when they were on holidays in South Africa celebrating New Year's Eve.

According to a source Derek wasn't expecting anything:

"Derek thought because of her schedule she wouldn't have time to send a card, let alone a basket of presents. All the stuff was really personal, he was so touched".

Sounds like one happy birthday boy to me!

Derek Hough Claims He And Cherly Cole Are "Fine"

Even though Derek Hough has never admitted that he is actually dating Britain's sweetheart Cheryl Cole, he has told press that, despite reports, the two are doing just fine.

Recently there had been claims that Cheryl wasn't willing to move in with the Dancing With The Stars dancer in LA. Apparently the 'Promise This' singer has been dumped from the US X-Factor and would be staying put in London.

However Derek insists there's still a chance she'll be moving to LA to be with him. He said:

"Everything with Cheryl is still fine. There's nothing to worry about. There's still a good chance she'll be coming over for the US X Factor. We'll just have to wait and see."

So if we were looking for proof that the two were an item, I'm guessing we've got it now!

Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough About To Split Up?

Even though the pair have never publicly admitted that they are an item, Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough are apparently on the verge of ending their relationship.

Apparently 'The Flood' singer and the 'Dancing With The Stars' dancer will meet in London this week to have a conversation about their relationship. Sources say they needed to have a heart-to-heart:

"He arranged the whole thing with [her mother] Joan and she suggested speaking to Cheryl face-to-face. She said her daughter has been down and confused lately. He said she seemed really happy to see him but couldn't tell what was going on in her head and seemed far less touchy-feely than when they went to South Africa."

According to reports this is a make or break meet up, with sources adding that Derek needs to know where he stands:

"He is going to have a heart-to-heart with her. He's half dreading it as he doesn't want to hear the worst. But part of him just needs to know where he stands."

All signs seem to signal a break-up here. First Cheryl refuses to move in with Derek in L.A and now he's flying over arranging a 'meeting'.

Cheryl Cole Doesn't Want To Live With Derek Hough!

According to reports this morning Cheryl Cole has decided not to move in with boyfriend Derek Hough when she moves to L.A!

The 'Promise This' singer is heading over to California soon to start filming the U.S version of The X-Factor and it looks like she won't be roomies with her dancer boyfriend.

Although Derek has been doing up his apartment to fit Cheryl's 'needs', Cheryl has turned around and changed her mind. Sources say the singer wants to remain independent:

"Cheryl told him she would spend a lot of time at his, but she needs her own space. She wants to remain independent and not just become 'Derek's girlfriend'. It's clearly a wise move that has in part been steered by Simon Cowell because she needs to become a star in her own right."

And of course Derek is not too happy at all:

"Derek is gutted. He bought his new place with Cheryl in mind. She had lots of input and his interior decorator even spoke to Cheryl on several occasions."

The X-Factor judge will now rent a luxury apartment for her first six months in L.A instead and will have mum Joan Callaghan there with her to help her settle in.

I guess she's taking things slow after her split from scumbag Ashley Cole!
