The Beauty Diary: Hotloxs Micro-Beads

Dear Beauty Diary,

As you know by now I am obsessed with hair. Hair extensions, hair styles, hair colouring, hair accessories, anything you could possibly think of.

I think it's so important to make yourself feel good and enjoy your own style, that's why I wear hair extensions. At the start of the summer I decided to stop wearing flip ins and clip ins, and instead went for the permanent option.

In my first Hair and Beauty review I tried out Hotloxs Pre-bonded Hair Extensions and I fell in love. The volume, length and colour was all perfectly selected by the top colourist and extension guru Anna from Hotloxs.

From Vogue Williams to Emma Waldron, top Irish celebs have fallen fast and hard for Hotloxs. With gorgeous models Lisa Nolan, Sara Kavanagh, Rachel Wallace, Pamela Ryan and Karena Graham all jumping aboard the Hotloxs trend.

This time around I wanted to try something different. With Hotloxs you can get pre-bonded extensions (no glue is applied to your hair, just a heat applicator that is folded around the top of your hair), weaves, clip ins or micro-beads. So I decided to go for the beads.

Now some people will try and scare you off saying that they are more visible and uncomfortable to sleep on but I haven't come across either problem. Obviously will all hair extensions, the thicker your hair is the better, and if you have really thin hair a half head is always better.

Before

So Anna popped over and took out my pre-bonds that I had in for three months. You always here horror stories about peoples extensions not coming out easily, using acetone and having to cut out chunks of your hair. Well Anna didn't have to use one bit of acetone and all my hair extensions were out with in 15 minutes, and my hair had actually grown from the first time I had the extensions put in.

It's always a great sign to see hair growth, other companies that just use bonded extensions (all glue) will often have clients complain of their hair falling out and being left with just shreds of hair.

After

Micro-beading is one of the best options I have to say. First of all the method is ridiculously easy. You and your pals could order the hair of www.holoxshair.com and put them in yourselves. Secondly these extensions can be taken out at anytime, so if you feel like a change or want a break they can easily be slipped out of your hair.

I have to say it feels great known that there is no glue whatsoever in my hair. It's nice to know I could take them out at anytime but of course I don't want to. Once again the quality of the hair is exceptional. Top stylists have been asking me where I get my hair done and most people don't have a clue that I have extensions at all.

This is what the microbeads look like undereath the hair

My advice would be for those who are nervous about getting pre-bonded extensions, but you are sick of clip ins, I suggest getting the micro-beads. There is zero damage to your hair, you will get the feel of the extensions and check out the quality of the hair and then you can move on to a more permanent option.

Vogue Williams has been wearing Hotloxs Micro-beads for the last few months and her hair looks fab. So make sure to contact Hotloxs and their FACEBOOK, TWITTER and of course their WEBSITE.

PS!!

I had the pre-bonded extensions in twice already and I loved it! Check out this video below if you are interested in getting it done, or even interested in learning how to do it yourself!

Miss Ireland 2011

What an amazing night last night and what an amazing winner, Holly Carpenter!!

Yes last night, the beautiful Emma Waldron handed over her crown to Dubling girl Holly, who represented Miss University.

The slender brunette had been the bookies favourite to win for months now and it looks like they were right!

The gorgeous brunette stud out last night no doubt about that. She beat off 34 other girls to win the title and she will now go on to compete in Miss World in November, which takes place in London.

Sophie Anderton and the gorgeous Emma Waldron

On the judging panel last night was the gorgeous former Miss Ireland and top model Sarah Morrisey, TV3 Midday's Elaine Crowley, top model Sophie Anderton, trainer to the stars Paul Byrne, Celeb Salon owner Elaine Butler-Doolin and the owner of Korara Tan along with a representative from Aspire

And of course two other girls got the amazing title of 2nd runner up and runner up. In 3rd place was the gorgeous Miss Dublin South Aisling Alcock and coming in second was one of my favourites, Miss Antrim Rebecca Maguire

Holly told me last night that she is ready for her crazy new lifetstyle and can't wait to start preparing for the finals, which will seee her work extremely hard in London for four long weeks, so I wish her the best of luck!

As well as winning the title the stunner has won herself a lucrative modeling contract with BScene plus a host of prizes including jewelry, gowns, a professional photo shoot, beauty and hair products from official partners Karora Tan, Isadora Makeup, Debenhams, and the list goes on!

Pluss Holly will be driving her very own SEAT LEON for the entire year of her reign (jealous much). But in al seriousness Holly is definitely a worthy winner and I know she will do us proud.

If Emma Waldron thinks she can do it then I believe in her, but what a tough act to follow!

PS!! A quick thankyou to The Ivory Closet who supplied my dress earrings on the night!

Lots of Love,
xx

Emma's body looks stunning in this shoot, the model is flaunting a curvy slimmed down figure, and her amazing volumized hair is from the one and only Hotloxs Hair Extensions.

Emma Waldron Designing Her Own Jewellery Line!

Our stunning Miss Ireland is set to take over another industry, as she exclusively tells Maggie Red that she is designing her own jewellery line!

Yes, the Cellbridge beauty Emma Waldron has revealed that she is collaborating with a Dublin based jewellery store to design her own line of jewels. Since appearing in the limelight as Miss Ireland, Emma has shot to fame following her stint in China for Miss World, and her constant coverage in the Irish media.

Emma told me that she is super excited about her new line:

"I'm good pals with the girls from Crystals and Co. They gave me lots of jewellery when I competed for Miss World in China. We decided to collaborate on this new line".
The model admitted that she "always used to design little pieces of jewellery" when she was a child and although many celebs just put their name to ventures such as this, always smiley Emma says she is heavily involved in the designing process:
"I will be fully involved from picking the design to the size of the stone being used. Plus the collection ties in with the Miss World competition with some designs called 'Miss Peach' and 'Miss Plumb'."

Emma models Crystals and Co jewellery.

While expanding her career options, the pageant queen has been moving onwards and upwards in the modelling industry also. The trainee school-teacher switched modelling agencies last week. The gorgeous model told me why she has chosen be represented by Andrea Roche.

As Miss Ireland, Emma (22) has been previously represented by the modelling agency BScene but admitted that she wanted to achieve "higher goals" in the modelling industry and thought joining Andrea's team would be the best move:
"I decided to change to Andrea because she is an incredible force in the modelling industry, she has great contacts. I switched over to reach higher goals. As Miss Ireland I do a lot of press calls and I've really been enjoying it so I want to get back to modelling."

The stunner explained that she wants to try and pursue a "high fashion modelling" career as she will soon have to hand over her title to a new Miss Ireland. In a surprising move Emma says that she went with her gut instinct and joined Andrea's agency after a meeting her for a chat:
"It came up in conversation, then we met up one day and I told her what modelling I liked and Andrea told me that her door was always open, so i decided to take the leap."

I think this is the perfect move for the Irish beauty. Emma will now be joining the same agency as Ireland's top model Rozanna Purcell, Pippa O'Connor and former Miss World Rosanna Davison.

Meanwhile...

The role model also revealed to me, that she will be apart of a huge anti-racist campaign after becoming involved in a very public racial argument. A few months ago, an anonymous social network user wrote rude remarks about her relationship with Nigerian boyfriend Manners O, which led to a heated debate about inter-racial relationships in the press.

The beauty says that now, she and Manners aim to use the hurtful situation to highlight racial bullying:
"The immigrant council of Ireland have asked me to work with them. After issues that happened between myself and Manners we thought it would be good to get involved in this in a positive way, which is the whole reason we talked about it in the first place."
Emma added that she is also helping her young fans deal with issues of race, by responding to emails for her 'Ask Emma' section of her up-and-coming website. The new website www.emmawaldron.com will be dedicated to helping her fans, responding to personal mails and keeping us updated on her day-to-day life.

Emma said she's started to reply to people in hurtful situations already:
"I have already received emails from people all over the world. Sadly a girl from a local school in Cellbridge told me she was a victim of racial bullying which was very hard to hear."

Fashion Fix - Emma Waldron

The always gorgeous Miss Ireland - Emma Waldron looks fab here!

My former Star of The Month is snapped here at the recent Debenhams Fashion show. I am absolutely loving the flower print dress, it is spring time after all ladies!

The dark red over the black really works, as Emma shows off a floral look but makes the outfit suitable for a night time event.

PS!!

The shoes are too die for!! Need to get myself to Debenhams ASAP!
