Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is being labeled the bad guy online in her divorce from NBA star, Kris Humphries. The couple have been married for 2-months and Kardashian filed for divorce on Halloween. Humphries and his family are devastated at Kardashian's surprise blow that has devastated the basketball star.

Most people are Team Kris, believing Kardashian married Humphries in a big, glitzy, publicity packed wedding, to increase her fame. Kardashian is neither a singer or actress, with no showbiz talent to fall back on, having made a name for herself based on a sex tape she made with rapper, Ray J, which said to be released without her permission.

Reports have indicated, Humphries was not her first choice for a husband, as she searched for an athlete to appear on her show as her boyfriend. Shortly after the British royal wedding this past April, Kardashian announced she too would be getting married in a big multi-million dollar ceremony, attempting to rival the couple across the pond.

She clearly got caught up in the attention and financial deals such a move would bring. However, the implosion of her short lived marriage to Humphries is bringing her a world of terrible publicity that is destroying her career as a reality star. The public has turned on her.

Sarah Burton reveals how she kept fashion's biggest secret: Kate Middleton's wedding dress

Designer Sarah Burton managed to keep her involvement with the creation of Kate's ivory lace and silk dress a secret from her closest friends and family until the eve of the event


It was the best kept secret the fashion world had ever known. The mystery shrouding the identity of Kate Middleton's wedding dress was maintained right up until the moment the Duchess-to-be stepped out of her hotel on her way to Westminster Abbey.

And now the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress designer has revealed that the project was so closely guarded, even her parents were unaware that she was working on the royal wedding dress.

So keen was Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton to disguise her involvement with the creation of the dress that she informed no one but a small group of colleagues who would work with her on the design.


The ivory and lace gown was highly praised worldwide, a triumph for Burton who had only recently taken over as design head of the design house following the death of Alexander McQueen.

Speaking about the commission to Vogue magazine, Burton, 37, said she was pleased she had been able to maintain the mystery.

'It was so great to actually keep a secret, especially in this day and age when everyone talks about everything,' she told the magazine.

Burton's parents, Anthony and Diane Heard, only found out on the eve of the ceremony that their daughter had landed one of the design world's most coveted commissions.

The first glimpse they were afforded of their daughter's handiwork was from the lens of a periscope, from their place in the crowds on the Mall.

Burton's confidentiality agreement from Buckingham Palace had prevented her from telling them ahead of the Royal couple's wedding eve.

Burton's challenge was long and drawn out. 'Because my core team knew, it was okay for me to disappear and come back, then disappear again,' she said in the interview.

'But I remember other people asking me, "Are you coming in on Friday?" And I'd say, "Oh, yeah, see you in the morning." I'd be scheduling meetings knowing full well I wasn't going to be there for them,' she told Vogue.

New York's Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art was preparing to open an Alexander McQueen retrospective soon after the royal wedding and Burton was able to use that as cover for the occasions where she had to miss appointments.

Burton's cover was as good as blown when a figure widely considered to be Sarah Burton arrived at Belgravia's Goring Hotel - where the Middletons were staying on the eve of the wedding - her face hidden beneath the furry hood of a parka coat that was last seen on the Alexander McQueen catwalk.

Still, no details were confirmed, and when the designer arrived to accompany Kate to Westminster Abbey to make adjustments to her nine-foot train, the world was still on tenterhooks, desperate for details of the dress.

'I remember standing in Westminster Abbey thinking, 'This is unreal'. It was like a fairy tale. And all I could think was, 'I hope I don't trip over'. I didn't realise the enormity of it until much nearer the wedding day. It was a magical experience,' Burton says of the moment.

Burton, who took over as head of Alexander McQueen in February, said she feared she would never be able follow in the footsteps of McQueen himself.

'I definitely considered not taking this job. I was at such a loss, he was such a huge part of my life, my every day. I could finish his sentences but I didn't know that I could begin anything, and that terrified me,' she said, adding that her success at the house seems to be a 'gift' from McQueen.

'Out of such terrible, tragic times and from under this dark cloud came that dress.'

This is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. I see all of the support and I am so thankful for my fans, friends and family who are helping me through this difficult time.

I am trying not to read all the different media reports but it’s hard not to see all the negative ones. First and foremost, I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show! I share so much of my life on a reality show, that contemplating whether to even film my wedding was a tough decision to make, and maybe it turned out to not be the smartest decision. But it’s who I am! We filmed Kourtney giving birth, Khloe getting married, break ups, make ups, our best moments and our worst moments. These were all real moments. That’s what makes us who we are. We share, we give, we love and we are open!

Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.

I’m being honest here and I hope you respect my courage because this isn’t easy to go through. But I do know that I have to follow my heart. I never had the intention of hurting anybody and I accept full responsibility for my actions and decisions, and for taking everyone on this journey with me. It just didn’t turn out to be the fairy tale I had so badly hoped for.

There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.

I’m sorry if I have hurt anyone, but my dad always told me to follow my heart and I believe now that I really am.

Blogs are calling for a boycott of reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, after she filed for divorce from "blindsided" NBA star, Kris Humphries, after 10-weeks of marriage. Some women have pantyhose that last longer than that. Really Kim, you could do better. Why did you marry him in the first place, because from most bloggers' standpoint, it was for a royal family like wedding, publicity and millions in endorsements and product tie-ins. Most people do not respect that.

Bloggers are feeling like they have been played for fools, covering her wedding, giving her free publicity, believing she was actually in love and going to have a long marriage with Humphries, who does not want a divorce. I really did not cover the wedding, issuing very skeptical articles on the entire affair.

Marriage is something that is sacred in the Lord's sight. I do not like the way the entire Kardashian wedding was conducted, as it came across as the most commercialized nuptials in pop culture history. There have been many celebrities that have genuinely fallen in love and gotten married, but with Kardashian it does not appear that way. For Kardashian to use a wedding as a publicity stunt was wrong. Is nothing scared anymore. Do not follow her example.
