Presnter Tess Daly Talks About the 'Sexting' Scandal With Husband Vernon Kay

I'm "no dormat"

It was about the same time that Ashley Cole was caught sending dirty messages and sexy pics to a model that presenter Vernon Kay was caught out 'sexting'. We all expected it from Cheryl's cheating hubby but the public were shocked as Vernon and wife Tess Daly always seemed like such a strong couple.

It was uncertain if Tess was going to stay with Vernon, whom she married in 2003. Her husband, The Family Fortunes presenter had confessed to sending saucy texts  to 23-year-old glamour model Rhian Sugden, and things got worse when four other girls claimed he was ‘sexting’ them as well.

The Strictly Come Dancing Host and former model, stayed with Vernon but has said she is not a "doormat". She told The Mirror:

"You can certainly say it's been an eventful year. There's been lots to celebrate, but I'm not going to lie and pretend I wasn't absolutely devastated at the time. It was one of the toughest things I've ever had to face. But you have to make a decision. I thought, 'Do I walk away, or do we decide to stick together, work it out, move on?"

Despite the fact that Vernon admitted to flirting through Skype also, meaning he was seeing the girls, and more saucy things could have gone on there, Tess said there was too much love still there to walk away:

"We came to the decision that there was enough to stay together for - our family - and the love was still intact. Of course I was in the driver's seat at that stage! We've moved on and now we're in a really good place. It was a rough ride for a while, but now we're happy.”

Tess stood her ground with Vernon!

But unlike the WAG's who stay with their footballers after they cheat and keep their head's down, Tess says she is not to be messed with and she didn't take this situation lightly:

"He knows exactly what he did, he knows it's not okay. There are things you can't do within a marriage. He is well aware now of the framework and has grown from that. I don't want to say 'nobody's perfect' because then I’m justifying what he did and I'm not willing to do that. It makes me a doormat and I'm not. Trust me."

Well at least it sounds like Tess respects herself and has stood her ground. Vernon, you stupid, stupid man!
