LeAnn Rimes Engaged!

After a very controversial two years together, singer LeAnn Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian are officially engaged!

Rimes, 28, and Cibrian, 37, were spotted on a Malibu beach on Monday, where she was wearing a new engagement ring. (which is absolutely gorgeous). A rep for the couple released a statement saying the pair had made things official over the holidays!

On Monday afternoon, the 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' singer thanked fans for their kind Tweets, writing on Twitter:

"Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It's been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love."

The pair met while filming a Lifetime movie called Northern Lights and quickly fell in love. They were both married at the time, so their relationship has caused two divorces and some seriously harsh press! Most of the hate stemming from Eddie's fame-whore ex-wife Brandi Glanville, who slammed LeAnn and tried to claim that she and Eddie were having a secret affair months after the split.

Thankfully Eddie has stuck up for his new fiance during all these claims saying:

"Once again my ex has stooped to a new low attempting  to sabotage my beautiful relationship with LeAnn"

LeAnn has never stooped to Brandi's level and if anything has been really sensitive about the whole affair. Her ex recently got engaged and she publicly congratulated him. Back in November she admitted that her and Eddie's love had not been easy:

"We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we're human. We fell in love. We're really happy in what we feel privately." 

I for one, am happy for the couple! It seems to be really genuine, and there's no point staying with someone if you aren't happy. Eddie has constantly shared his love for the talented singer Tweeting a few months ago:

"Unbiased... LeAnn Rimes is without a doubt a one of a kind incomparable talent! She is truly amazing!"

It seems like the happy couple have flown off to celebrate with close friends and LeAnn Tweeted a few hours ago:

 "Cabo!!!!! Sun, bikinis, friends, food, tequila...celebration!!!! Gonna be the best trip!!"

I'm happy for the couple, LeAnn is extremely talented and Eddie is extremely hot! They will make some beautiful babies.
