Scarlett Johanson And Ryan Reynolds Split Up!!

After more than two years of marriage, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have called it quits.

The couple, who are one of the least photographed celeb couples in the world, started dating in 2007 apparently split up about two weeks ago.

**They have just released a joint statement**

"After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage.We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."

 Wow so it's definitely all over. A source has said that the pair don't want things to get dramatic:

"They are being very civil about it," 

Apparently the two have said that distance have played a huge part in their separation (all celebs say that). The insider said Scarlett hasn't been happy for a long time:

"The big problem with their relationship is the distance.They spent a lot of time apart when they are working...She's been unhappy for a while."

The 26-year-old Iron Man 2 star began dating 34-year-old Ryan back in 2007, fresh from his split with Alanis Morrisette who he was in a relationship with for 4 years (and engaged to). The two actors began a whirlwind romance and were engaged only a few months later.

What was really going on behind closed doors?

Only last year Scarlett told Glamour magazine that she struggled with relationships:

"I don't profess to know anything about marriage that anybody else doesn't know, or how to make it right," 

Buried star Ryan, meanwhile, admitted in the October issue of GQ that things had "changed" since they got married:

"I'm a little more guarded, I think. I'm a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera."

Yet the actor still said during the interview that living with Scarlett was the "best part" of his life (well clearly not).

So there you have it, another celeb split! I'm not really surprised to be honest. They married way too quick. Ryan's 10 year relationship with Alanis Morrisette had just ended, and they never really seemed that close in public.

A loss for the couple, but a gain for many women around the world. Ryan's back on the market ladies!!
