The ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, Denise Richards has said she is really concerned about him.
A few months back, Charlie famously got drugged out and spend four days in a New York hotel room with a hooker. When he needed help, his mother to his two children, Denise, collected Charlie from the hotel and brought him to hospital to seek treatment.
Now as Charlie gets back to work and seems to be getting back on track, Denise says she is still worried:
“I think a lot of people are concerned about Charlie and my concern is obviously – what becomes difficult is things become so public. I try my best to keep that quiet from our daughters because, you know, this is something I’ve never dealt with in my life until this situation."
The 39-year-old actress/reality star filed for divorce from Charlie in March 2005 after three years of marriage and the former couple’s split was finalized in November 2006. Denise also moved to New York to be nearer to Charlie so he could spend time with the kids, although times are hard with the actor now, Denise says she's still trying to create a family life for her two girls:
"Charlie and I have been in such a much better place and it makes it so much easier for our daughters. When we went to New York, that was our intention — to have a nice time with the girls and I thought it was great that we could all travel together and go out to dinner and do things even though we’re not together anymore."If rumors are to be believed, Charlie is currently getting back with on and off wife Brook Mueller who is also an alcoholic and accused Charlie of hitting her on Christmas 2009.
