2011 has started off with a serious bang in Hollywood, and when I say bang I mean boom.... a baby boom!
They say that there's a surge in birth rates during a recession but that doesn't really affect a celeb does it? Well apparently the answer is yes it does!
So, who's knocked up?
Natalie Portman
Natalie announced just a few weeks ago that she was not only engaged to her Black Swan choreographer Benjamin Millipied but that she was also preggers for the first time!
The actress has had a great start to the year as she's nominated for Best Actress in tomorrow night's Golden Globes and there is some serious Oscar buzz surrounding her new flick Black Swan. The star has said she feels extremely "lucky" to be preggers as she knows how hard it is to conceive as her dad is a fertility doctor!
Shania Twain
Next up, country singer Shania Twain had a lot to celebrate at the start of this year too!
After a painful divorce from her cheating hubby Robert Lange she sought comfort from the ex-husband of the wife who had an affair, Frédéric Thiébaud.And that friendship blossomed in to love when the two tied the knot in the Carribeann on the 1st of January! (what a great way to star a new year).
The 45-year-old singer then announced that she and Frédéric were expecting their first child!
Victoria Beckham
A big shocker for 2011 was finding out that Victoria Beckham is expecting her fourth child!
The fashion designer, who already has three boys with footballer David Beckham, announced only a few days ago that she was preggers and everyone was shocked!
The former Posh Spice has always said that she's wanted a girl, is it 4th time lucky maybe? Let's be honest any daughter of Vicky's would have AMAZING clothes!
Holly Willoughby
Another Celeb expecting her baby in 2011 is Dancing On Ice presenter Holly Willoughby!
The former Xtra Factor presenter had a baby just last year, but this November she announced there was another one on the way.
The 29-year-old already has a son named Harry and said that she was absolutely "thrilled" to be preggers again.
She's still working away on Dancing On Ice, and she's looks amazing!
Owen Wilson
Yes this has to be the most random baby announcement this year!
No one even knew that Owen Wilson was seeing anyone, and just last week he confirmed that he and girlfriend Jade Duell are expecting any week now!
Jade is apparently an actress and the pair have been living together in Hawaii for the past few months (hiding more like it).
The 42-year-old got his rep to announce the news and nothing more was said! No pictures of Jade of surfaced just yet but I'm sure we'll see some snaps of the new baby soon!
**UPDATE**
Owen and Jade have had a baby boy! No name yet though!
Alicia Silverstone
The list just keeps on going! Next up, former Clueless actress, announced the exciting news this week, it will be her first child with her husband of six-years, Christopher Jarecki and the star is over the moon!
The 34-year-old had previously said in April that she was seriously broody:
"I've been wanting to have a baby since I was two years old - I'm destined to be a mother."
Selma Blair
We're nearly at the end of the list now!
The most recent star to announce their pregnancy was Selma Blair! The Cruel Intentions actress confirmed the news this week that she is expecting her first child with fashion designer boyfriend Jason Bleick.
No word from her rep yet! Will Ryder be getting a half-brother/sister? Only time will tell!
